Jersey Shoto Ryu/Tai Chi Martial Arts |
|
The Jersey Tai-Chi Foundation was established in Jersey, Channel Islands in 1985 as a non-profit organisation for the furtherance and development of Tai Chi by Raymond Reid who is both founder and principal, following years of practicing Shotokai Karate under Sensei Harada & Shoto Ryu Martial Arts & Tai Chi under Sensei Viv Nash. JTCF is the longest running Tai Chi School in Jersey with the original instructor. Raymond Reid, Principal Instructor, is assisted in the running of the club by Senior Instructors Steve Renouf & Barrie Hamel and Assistant Instructor Jo Lea
Although there is no direct lineage back to any single traditional master/school, the club has sought knowledge from various sources over the years. Our practice is based on the Yang family style, which is the most widely practised world-wide according to most sources.
